At LFC we love to celebrate the wins on and off the football field and think this team deserves to be recognised for their awesome win streak!
Now some may get caught up in the unbelievable stats this team has put together over the last 2 seasons...but please make sure you read on to gain an understanding of how this has been possible.

A word from Coach Bessi on the Team as a whole

As a whole, this group of boys is without a doubt, by a distant mile the best football team I have ever had the privilege of coaching in my coaching career. I have never seen a more solid & close group of team members. The support & encouragement they give each other is second to none & is instrumental in them being such an incredible powerhouse on the football pitch. Through the highs and lows…. the boys are there for each other no matter what.
This is a classic team that any football coach out there would dream of coaching. I feel absolutely honoured to have been given the privilege of coaching them over the last 2 seasons. So many incredible memories made at training & on game day. These are memories that I will carry with me always. I look so forward to seeing how the boys develop as young footballers & people into the future.

Who are these amazing young footballers?

 Arin 
Our fantastic shot stopper (Number 1). Has grown in confidence in a big way over the two seasons & has become a wall come penalty time! Onward & upward. Such an incredibly positive attitude. And on top of this, he has possibly scored the goal of our 2020 season!
Yes that’s right! Wow! Wow! Wow!

Calum
One of the strongest central defenders in the league by a long way. One half of the toughest & most reliable central defensive partnerships with Griff around in youth football. Mr. consistent! An absolute rock for the team. Our team would not be the same without him at the back. Pace to burn at the back, strikers don’t stand a chance.

Griff
Our fearless Captain! Griff leads from the front with his strong personality. And yes, one half of the toughest & most reliable central defensive partnerships with Calum around in youth football. His Charisma is infectious & key to the team’s success. A leader through & through.

Toby
Has grown immensely in confidence over 2 seasons. Very comfortable on the ball in defense. Technically strong on the ball. Always smiling! So important in boosting the team moral on the training pitch. Great seeing you develop as a footballer.

Josh
Had an incredible 2019 season in defense and continues to get the job done game in & game out this season! Mr. Reliable! Never complains & just gets the job done. A team player through and through. Such a positive attitude.

Mats
Mats confidence has absolutely soured this season. His comfort on the ball is shining though. An absolute team player who drives the incredibly supportive culture throughout the squad. So incredibly positive! Always plays with a smile on his face.

Jules
One half of the dream partnership in the heart of midfield with Ricky. The perfect combination!  Extremely strong technical ability (insane touch) on the ball in tandem with incredible vision & superb passing range on the football pitch. His Charisma, personality & confidence has sky rocketed this season. An absolute pleasure to watch in action. Very talented & intelligent young footballer.  2019 Coaches award winner!

Ricky
Most Valuable Player Award two seasons running (2018 & 2019)! Speaks for itself. Extremely intelligent footballer.  Unbelievable technical ability & vision on the football pitch, so many WOW! moments week in week out from our most valuable player. Second to none, an absolute talent of a young footballer. One half of the dream partnership in the heart of midfield with Jules. The perfect combination! An absolute pleasure to watch in action. Number one pick in any team!

Aaron
Another very talented young footballer. An absolute rocket of a left foot! Wow!!! When Aaron is firing the sky is the limit for the team! His confidence has absolutely soared over the last 2 seasons. An integral member of the team & incredible to watch when on attack. Breathtaking one on one skills leaving opponents in his dust. Wow!!!! Wow!!! Wow!!! Skies the limit!

Cooper
2019 Golden Boot Winner by an absolute mile! Pace to burn second to none! Untouchable at times! Absolutely deadly in front of goal! Very confident on the ball! Always backs his strong technical ability! An absolute integral member of our insane attack! An insane left boot! I don’t think there is anyone in the league that can provide a cross in like our Coops. An absolute pleasure to watch in action. On track again for the 2020 Golden Boot Award. Number 1 pick as a striker in any team!

George
Extremely strong & physical attacking footballer! An absolute presence on the football pitch for his team! When firing, George is one of the strongest Number 9’s in the League. Great Technical ability with a positive attitude that is so good for the team!

Daniel
An extremely passionate young footballer that gives his absolute all for the team! Pace to burn when given space & extremely deadly in front of goal. Technically very strong on the ball. Scored one of the most important goals of our 2019 season in the Grand Final of Champion of Champions. Daniel always makes an impact on the field and has to be one of our strongest team players without a doubt. An absolute pleasure to watch. Always smiling!

Teddy
A great new addition to the team for the 2020 season. Teddy is a very intelligent footballer who reads the game really well. To top this off Teddy is a very versatile footballer being able to play a number key positions in the heart of defense, in the midfield engine & upfront in attack. There are not many players out there that have this ability.  He always has to be one of the most positive & supportive players in the team. No matter what role  Coach Bessi asks him to play on game day he does it without question and gives his absolute all week in week out. 

Ewan
Another one of our great new recruits for the 2020 season. Ewan gives his absolute all on the training ground and week in week out on game day for the team. An extremely hard working midfielder with a never say die attitude. Gets himself into some great positions on the field due to his hard working ethic in the heart of midfield with Ricky & Jules.

Rhys
Rhys got a well- deserved promotion to the A Team after an extremely strong & consistent 2019 season. A skillful footballer who’s confidence is increasing each & every week in this incredible team. An extremely versatile footballer who is able to slot into a number of positions on the football pitch. Rhys never complains & always performs any role on the football pitch that Coach Bessi asks of him.
Diederik
Another one of our great new recruits for the 2020 season. Diederik is a hard working defender who continues to grow in confidence on the training field & week in & week out on game day. He is extremely positive & is keen to continue learning from Coach Bessi to continue making a difference to the team. Skies the limit if continue to back yourself! Some vital tackles made in the 2020 season!

Kasper
Made an important & strong impact when he joined the team half way through the 2019 season. An integral member of an extremely strong midfield trio combination with Ricky & Jules. Very strong in the tackle & fantastic technical ability on the ball! Well done on your selection into the 2020 U14 Northern Tigers FC team. Very well deserved.  

Matty
Matty picked up a couple of tough/ long term injuries during the 2019 season but this did not stop him from staying positive throughout & being there on a regular basis for his teammates. A very smart footballer who always played with a smile on his face. On his day he was a force at wing back. 

Benji
Benji was one of our integral team members in defense during the 2019 season! No one stronger in the tackle in the league. Mr. Reliable week in week out! Very strong technically & fantastic at reading the oppositions play & making key interceptions in difficult situations. We sure have missed you this season! However we know that you are absolutely loving your rugby season. Any team would be lucky to have you, no matter what the sport!  

A word from Team Manager Gregg 
 
I have to say that our boys would have to be the luckiest young footballers around to have been afforded the opportunity to have Bessi as their football coach over the last 2 years. Being Italian, Coach Bessi lives and breathes football (It’s a religion!) and and Bessi has passed on his wealth of football knowledge to the boys. Their understanding of the game & what it takes to make a difference on & off the pitch has absolutely skyrocketed. Coach Bessi has formed a close bond with his players, but has always had very high expectations which he has always balanced out perfectly with an understanding that they are just kids at the end of the day and that the primary focus should always be their passion & love for the game through having fun as young footballers. 
 
I think I could speak for every parent of our group when I say that watching our boys in action on game day is an absolute highlight of our weekends.
