NSFA Electronic Match Card Procedure

All Competition Age Groups: Men, Women, Junior Mixed U12 – U18 and Girls U12 – U18

Electronic Match Cards (EMC) have been successfully implemented for competition matches in NSFA since 2016 when they replaced the paper record. Electronic match cards are used to identify players, ensure they are entitled to play and to assist referees in appropriate player discipline.

All managers and coaches are required to register via PlayFootball. Volunteers are required to register so that they have an opportunity to view and understand the Terms and Conditions that they are bound by with regards to their involvement at our club and as a member of the NSFA football community. You are also required to register as these details are transferred to the MyClubMate Player Administration System.

The Age Coordinator must then allocate the managers and coaches to their teams within the MyClubMate system and assign a team password:

  • Click on ‘Team Admin’

  • Click on the relevant team

  • Assign the team manager and coach to the team

  • Create a team password

Team Managers

  • Once teams have been finalised, team managers will be given access to the Team Admin system of the club called MyClubMate (MCM). The portal is used to manage players in the team, record results and to prepare the team for upcoming games.

  • Entering the following URL into your smartphone. We recommend saving the URL on the phone prior to the start of the season. https://nsfalnfld.myclubmate.com.au/TeamManagers/default.asp

To Log in, Managers will be required to provide the following information:

  • Username (Email address you registered in Play Football with)

  • Password (Provided by your Age Coordinator)

  • You will then be able to select your team from the dropdown list

Game Day Functionality: How to Submit a Match Card

Each and every game day during the season, a match card must be submitted to NSFA. This will contain all the participating players details including shirt number and the result of the match. NB If there is a problem with the EMC you must then submit a paper match card (see below)

To make it easier, click on ‘Game Day’ to enable shortened menu with the 3 main elements:

  • Submit your ‘Match Card’

  • ‘Review Opponents Match Card’

  • ‘Match Results’

You need to confirm which players are playing in the match.

TIPS:

  • Only 16 players can be placed on the match day card.

  • Don’t submit your match day card until you are sure as once submitted it cannot be undone - you cannot add players afterwards. Just “Save but not submit”

  • Does matter if a player isn’t listed on card - they CANNOT play.

  • Doesn’t matter if player on card but ends up not playing.

  • Ensure ‘shirt numbers’ are included for all players marked ‘YES’

Review Opponents Match Card

Only click ‘I confirm I checked the Match Card and everything is in order’ if you are happy that all the players are correct.

If not OK click ‘Click here’ to record this match as in dispute’.

Match Results

Enter the Match Result by Sunday evening.

Paper Match Cards

In the event that EMC is not available, teams will be required to use a paper match card. Team managers can print match cards via the manager portal by selecting the ‘Print Match Card’ tab, this will enable them to print off a generic paper match card.

TIP: Managers should print a couple of copies prior to the beginning of the season and place them in the Team Managers kit bag.

It is also recommended that managers print a team ID sheet. Team ID sheets consist of the name, FFA ID, shirt #number and photo for each member of the team. Managers should bring a copy of the team ID Sheet to all games, as it will be required to complete the match card.

Winning managers (or home managers in the case of a draw) must return the match cards to the NSFA office admin@nsfa.asn.au no later 5pm on the Wednesday following the match.

MiniRoos

ID sheets and Match Cards are not required in MiniRoos age groups. Managers should use a Match Results Sheet to record their season’s results. Match Results Sheets should be kept for the season in case of any disputes. Results sheets can be found on the NSFA website – http://nsfa.asn.au/clubs/forms/

Team Managers are required to enter results on Myclubmate. If teams enter different scores, then they will receive an email asking them to resolve the “mismatch” with the opposition. Managers can enter the results by selecting ‘Match Results’ in the team manager portal.

Any questions you can contact your Age Coordinator or Adam Cloughton at NSFA through EMC Support: emchelp@nsfa.asn.au or by calling the NSFA office on 9449 4933 during business hours.
